Wastewater Department

Clarksville Connected (CCU) serves about 3,600 customers within the city limits of Clarksville and is capable of treating 2.5 million gallons of waste water per day at its main treatment plant with an added 2.5 million gallons of storage at its ponds. The main plant is an extended aeration plant while the pond system is a lagoon system. There are 95 miles of gravity sewers and another 7 miles of force mains all connected by 16 lift stations and trunk lines.

CCU has a state certified lab which enables us to analyze our samples and perform state required testing. Currently, CCU is being used as the “how a plant should run” plant for schools. This is conducted by the Arkansas Rural Water Association of Lonoke where waste water operators are trained.
